Armand Morin
Armand was the last presenter of the seminar, and he introduced us to a number of ways to make small amounts of money online quickly. Ebay was the focus of his presentation, and he gave us a number of techniques for grabbing up something cheap on Ebay, applying the marketing skills that we have learned, and either reselling or promoting the new business.
For example, did you know that you can buy real estate on Ebay? Did you know that you can buy repossessed and distressed houses on ebay for less than $1000? Did you know that you can buy a house on ebay for under $1000, rewrite the auction ad applying sound marketing principles and sell it back on ebay again for $3000 or more? You can triple your money in under 24 hours simply by applying good marketing practices. Now, deals like this are not common, but they are not as rare as you'd think…
Another thing that Armand mentioned was pre-built "template" sites. These are sites you can buy on eBay for around $50, and usually involve an ebook, or magazine subscriptions, or web hosting, etc. Now, the interesting thing is that I've had one of these magazine sites for something like 3 years now. I bought it on eBay one day, and just never did anything with it. Now that I know a lot more about marketing, I always just thought that putting some work into that site would be "beneath" me in some way ("I'm way above a stupid little magazine site - I make software for crying out loud!") Turns out, I was wrong…
A site such as that magazine site is an autopilot money machine - by applying a bit of promotion, you can have a site that makes you a chunk of change each and every day, with no effort on your part, except perhaps an occasional promotion or AdWords campaign.
Hmm, perhaps it's time to dust off that site?
